What We Collect

Zakat Calculator is designed to run in your browser. We do not ask you to create an account, and the calculator does not require you to send personal financial details to a server.

Some preferences and calculator inputs may be stored locally in your browser so the app can remember your settings between visits.

Analytics

We may use Umami Cloud for aggregate site analytics so we can understand page visits, route usage, outbound-link interactions, sponsor-placement status, and general site health.

The analytics payload sent by this app does not include calculator amounts, raw calculator state, Zakat results, names, emails, query strings, fragments, share-state URLs, referrer values, screen dimensions, viewport dimensions, or user-agent fields.

Because Umami Cloud is a third-party service, analytics requests will expose normal request metadata to Umami, including IP address and request headers such as User-Agent. Umami documentation says IP address is used to gather location metrics but is not stored, and sessions use a hashed session identifier calculated from values such as website ID, hostname, User-Agent, and a rotating salt.

Analytics is blocked when supported browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are active.

Cookies and Local Storage

• Local storage may remember your selected currency, theme preference, calculator inputs, favorite duas, and share-state settings.
• Cookies may be used by hosting or security tools. Umami analytics is intended to run without app-set analytics cookies; future advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies only if those services are separately approved.
• You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time.

Third-Party Ads and Services

If ads are added in the future, third-party ad providers may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, and limit ads. We do not add advertising scripts as part of this policy page.

External links, embedded media, and charity or sponsor websites have their own privacy practices.

Feedback Form Submissions

If you use the feedback form at /feedback, your message, chosen category, and page context are stored in a private Google Sheet so we can read and prioritise feedback.

Name and email fields are optional and only used to reply if you ask a question. The current form does not intentionally store your browser user agent. Do not send passwords, account numbers, or sensitive personal data through the form — it is intended for product feedback only.
